industries do use chemicals for almost any manufacturing process.
The European Community (EC) has defined a set of phrases for risks
(R-sets) and phrases for safety issues (S-sets) for using chemical
products. The supplier of a chemical product must provide the needed
Security / Safety Data Sheets to customer. The equivalent in the
US is the MSDS Material Safety Data Sheet. The knowledge of the
meaning of "those" R- and S-phrases is often not readily
available. Here is a collection of these R- and S- phrases compiled
in German, English, French, Italian and Spanish. |
